Azure for Students Starter
Verified K–12 students can use a limited collection of Azure development services at no cost, without providing a credit card.
Requirements
- ✓Verified K–12 student status
- ✓Academic organization email or another Microsoft-supported verification method
- ✓Minimum age of 13 in the US or 16 in other supported regions
- ✓No credit card required
How to claim it
- 1Review Microsoft's official Starter eligibility page.
- 2Sign in using the Microsoft account associated with your school identity.
- 3Complete academic verification and activate the Starter subscription.
- 4Use only the included free services unless you intentionally upgrade to Pay-As-You-Go.
Terms and notes
This is not unrestricted access to every Azure product and it does not include the separate $100 Azure for Students credit. The included tier covers selected services such as App Service, Functions and Notification Hubs. Microsoft's current overview describes a one-year subscription that can be renewed while eligible.
